Latécoère Foundation

The Latécoère Foundation aims to preserve the memory of Pierre-Georges Latécoère’s achievements, such as the Latécoère aeronautical industry and Latécoère Airlines, which became Aéropostale and then Air France.

Legendary pilots were recruited by Latécoère, including Jean Mermoz, Henri Guillaumet and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The Latécoère Foundation is also committed to preserving the memory of these pioneers and all those who participated in this epic adventure.

The Latécoère Foundation has collected archives containing aircraft plans, models and correspondence from Pierre-Georges Latécoère in order to preserve them and make them available to as many people as possible. Historians work alongside the Foundation and regularly publish works on the history of Aéropostale and its pioneers.

Founded in 2011 at the historic Toulouse Montaudran site, DELAIR designs and manufactures long-range drones for industrial inspection and security/defence applications. Present in more than 70 countries with thousands of drones in operation, DELAIR is developing future generations of drones (particularly hydrogen-powered ones) in partnership with the Toulouse ecosystem and aims to be the leader in professional drones by 2030.

Aura Aero

The 21st century presents us with a challenge: to fly without polluting. To meet this challenge, we must reinvent ourselves. Propulsion systems, architectures, materials, assemblies, energies – everything needs to be rethought. In short, we must rediscover the pioneering spirit of those who, right here in Montaudran a century ago, took commercial aviation’s very first steps. No other place than the Envol des Pionniers could better embody the audacity, courage and hard work demonstrated by Pierre-Georges LATECOERE’s team, which we must now draw inspiration from. This new wave of innovation is part of our DNA, so it was obvious for AURA AERO to be at the Envol des Pionniers.
