In the historic buildings where the great love story between Toulouse and aircraft began, follow in the footsteps of the famous pilots Mermoz, Guillaumet, St Exupéry and their comrades. Meet the men and women, in a variety of professions, who collectively took on a crazy challenge: linking Toulouse to Santiago de Chile by crossing a desert, flying over the ocean and even climbing the highest mountain in the world. The mail had to get through, they had to surpass themselves!
L’Envol des Pionniers passes on this human and technical adventure in an immersive and fun way to inspire young people to become, themselves, the pioneers of tomorrow.

A tour of the permanent exhibition
Located in the general store, the tour of the permanent exhibition retraces, through eye-witness accounts, personal objects and fun experiences, the history of the Montaudran site, the beginnings of aviation and the epic of the Latécoère and Aéropostale lines.
