As we wish to be accessible to all audiences, L’Envol des Pionniers provides various access solutions to those with disabilities.
All reception staff are made aware of reception requirements for those with disabilities.

From Thursday 21 May 2020, L’Envol des Pionniers will be pleased to welcome you again and invites you aboard for an exotic journey on which you will meet the Pioneers of aviation in Toulouse.

The whole site is accessible to the public.
Signage has been made more obvious across the whole site to indicate the direction of a visit.
You can still borrow a wheelchair or folding chair for free at reception, on presentation of a form of identification. They are disinfected after every use.
Braille models and features are regularly disinfected. It is recommended that you disinfect your hands with hydroalcoholic gel before and after handling them. You will find hydroalcoholic gel in every exhibition room.

People with a disability card or a mobility card with a “Disability” endorsement benefit from a reduced price of €6. Full price is €9.
If the card indicates “need for support,” the supporter has free entry.
A tactile model of the Laté 28 accompanied by a braille panel is located on the left side of the exhibition (facing the bay windows of the Hangar).
All exhibition videos are subtitled.
Two videos are available in French sign language, the video on Dorine Bourneton and the one on Bertrand Piccard.
Those with Hearing Impairment
Most videos in the permanent exhibition are subtitled. All the videos in the permanent exhibition “Beyond the Limits” are subtitled, and two videos are available in French Sign Language (LSF).
You can take part in guided tours interpreted in French Sign Language. Tour dates are given on this page.
The reception bank to the right of the entrance is equipped with an induction loop. We also have a portable induction loop which you can borrow for free.

Those with Motor Impairment
There are disabled spaces in car park P1 (address: 6 rue Jacqueline Auriol).
The whole building is accessible to those in wheelchairs (accessible reception banks and exhibition access, suitable toilets etc.).
There are several seats in the courtyard, in the exhibitions, and in the reception area.
On request at reception, a wheelchair or folding chair can be borrowed free of charge on presentation of a form of identification.
Those with Visual Impairment
Guide dogs are welcome on site.
A braille booklet and a large-character booklet are available on presentation of a form of identification. They present the permanent exhibition and the history of the site.

You can borrow an illuminated magnifier for free at reception, allowing you to increase the size of the panels and illuminate them.
